The special issue titled “EU-EEU Relations as Risks and Chances for Multinational Enterprises” will be published in “Wirtschaft und Management”, a journal edited by UAS BFI Vienna. It has an applied research focus, with libraries, private persons, internal and external lecturers, business representatives, public institutions as addresses. The issues are accessible worldwide via the German National Library. As the journal has both an academic and non-academic business-related readership, the publication will distribute the general idea of the EUCON project and the research results to a wide audience, among them students, business people and researchers.
As a result, the project audience will gain the opportunity to enhance their knowledge on the complex nature of EU-EEU relations in general and related business risks and opportunities in particular. One of the main aims is to contribute to a critical understanding about contradictory European and Russian perspectives. This is of high importance in public life in Austria, since the country is a hub between the West and the East, politically and economically. In regards to the international scientific community, the publication will be another contribution to establishing the area of political risk studies in academia. Given a general lack of interdisciplinary studies between political science and international business studies, the study will deliver new and innovative insights into impact of political factors on business operations. Moreover, the publication is directed towards the companies concerned with EU-EEU relations. The companies will finally gain more information about the international and political-institutional context they are active in, their future prospects in the region as their strategic perspectives.
