Guest lecture in the university of applied sciences bfi vienna

In the framework of EUCON project Dr. Albert Hayrapetyan from Armenian State University of Economics delivered a guest lecture in the University of Applied Sciences BFI Vienna. The
lecture fall within the topic of the seminar entitled ‘’The EU and the Eurasian Economic Union: Competition, Conflict and International Business” taught by Dr. Hannes Meissner. Dr.
Hayrapetyan firstly introduced the concept of economic integrations and the main stages thereof. An emphasis was put on differential effects of integrations on big and small economies. Whereupon he presented the indices that are used for ex ante assessment of the benefits of economic integration such as Intraregional Trade Share Index, Regional Trade Introversion Index, Regional Orientation Index, Complementarity Index and Export Similarity Index. The third part of the guest lecture was about the Eurasian Economic Union and its institutional architecture. Parallels were drawn between the European Union and the Eurasian Economic Union. The lecture was very interactive and triggered a vibrant discussion between the students and the guest lecturer. At the end of the lecture, the guest lecturer kindly asked the students to anonymously evaluate him by filling the special forms. The positive vibes of the lecture are well reflected on the group photos with the guest lecturer.
