ASUE students were hosted by the RA Ministry of Economy

On March 27, ASUE students, by the initiative of the lecturer of the Chair of International Economic Relations of ASUE, PhD Albert Hayrapetyan, visited the RA Ministry of Economy. Students attended the lecture on “Economic development prospects of the EEU”, which was conducted by Head of Trade and Integration Department, PhD in Economics Emma Movsisyan. The visit was organized in the frames of “THE EU AND THE EEU: BETWEEN CONFLICT AND COMPETITION, CONVERGENCE AND COOPERATION” (EUCON) Jean Monnet Network project implemented at ASUE.

The speaker presented the EEU and its organizational features, then referred to the mutual trade turnover indicators of the EEU member countries. Emma Movsisyan emphasized the role of privileges granted to RA in EEU in the context of economic development and investment attractiveness of RA. ASUE students got acquainted with the opportunities offered to Armenian businessmen in the integration union, and Emma Movsisyan expressed her willingness to provide professional assistance to interested students, including useful literature.

Albert Hayrapetyan emphasized that the material of the lecture aroused great interest among the students, and such educational visits will be organized more often.
