The podcast series “EUCON – The Eurasian Podcast” is now available on Spotify. It starts with an episode on the Belt and Road Initiative. Our first guest is David Morris, the Vice President of the United Nations Sustainable Business Network for Asia Pacific.
In 2014, the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) was established under the leadership of Russia. Despite the great potential for convergence and cooperation with the EU, the relationship is currently overshadowed by the conflict between the EU and Russia. The project seeks to explore the full complexity of EU-EEU relations, which are characterised by conflict and competition, convergence and (potential) cooperation. Where are the areas of conflict? What are the consequences? What is the role of the People’s Republic of China, especially with regard to the Belt and Road Initiative?
In the following episodes, this podcast will provide answers to these and other questions. Our host Florence Ertel (formerly Reiter) from the Jean Monnet Chair of European Politics in Passau will talk to a wide range of experts to shed light on EU-EEU relations in a concise and informative conversation.
The first episode is available now on Spotify.
Have fun listening!
